The practical questions

Is the price per tractor?
No. The farm base subscription is charged per farm base station. Multiple compatible machines can use the farm corrections through NTRIP.
What is included in year one?
The base hardware, PoE adapter, first year of network access, remote configuration and calibration against the Ordnance Survey network are included. The farm needs a suitable antenna position, mains connection and either Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
You own the base station. We manage its connection to the RTK Solutions network and provide ongoing support through the managed package.
What does the farm need for installation?
- A rigid antenna mount with a clear, unobstructed view of the sky
- A suitable mains connection; the PoE adapter is included
- Internet through Ethernet or Wi-Fi; integrated 4G provides backup
- Compatible NTRIP RTK receivers with the required unlocks and correction formats
- Correctly calibrated machine steering, antenna offsets and implements
Once installed, we remotely configure the base and calibrate its position against the Ordnance Survey network. The internal battery provides approximately 10–12 hours of backup at around 20°C; runtime varies with battery condition and power use.
Will it work with different brands?
Yes, where the receiver supports compatible NTRIP RTK corrections, has the required unlocks and can accept the correction format. This includes compatible systems from John Deere, Trimble, New Holland, Case IH, Fendt, Valtra, Massey Ferguson, Raven and other brands. We check compatibility before supply.

NTRIP RTK fixes very quickly once the GPS receiver and modem are ready. Startup is mainly their boot time and can be under 30 seconds with good satellite reception and a working data connection.
What accuracy and range can I expect?
Our farm-base positioning figure is 10 mm at 10 km, then an additional 1 mm for each kilometre beyond 10 km from the reference base, with a properly configured RTK FIX in suitable conditions. We guarantee a range of 35 km from the base station. We have tested out to 50 km with good success, but cannot guarantee 2.5 cm accuracy at that distance.
How long does repeatability last?
Our farm-base setup is designed for effectively indefinite repeatability. Its consistent local reference accounts for tectonic plate movement, with no inherent five-year limit. The antenna position, reference coordinates, saved guidance and machine calibration must remain stable and consistent.

The base has battery and integrated 4G backup. The wider network is designed with nearby mountpoints and redundancy. We can remotely monitor, diagnose and manage supported base hardware.
Available backup and correction sources depend on connectivity and local network coverage.
What is the first-year return guarantee?
If the system does not perform as expected during the first year, the installation can be returned for a full refund under the stated terms. Damage and misuse may be excluded.

Standalone hardware costs £3,990 + VAT. Use the same base hardware with your own NTRIP caster or server, without an annual RTK Solutions network subscription.
This option does not include the managed network services or access to the wider RTK Solutions correction network included with the subscription package.
Are replacement parts available?
Yes. Individual parts have a 2-year warranty; the carrier board has a 5-year warranty. Replacement carrier boards are available on part exchange for £675 + VAT (£810 including VAT).
