What does my tractor need?
- An RTK-capable GNSS receiver and suitable antenna
- The required RTK and NTRIP unlocks or activations
- A display, modem or gateway that accepts NTRIP connection details and the supported correction format
- A suitable internet data connection while working
- A clear sky view and correctly calibrated steering, antenna offsets and implements
The tractor sends its approximate position to the NTRIP service and receives an appropriate RTCM correction stream from the partner reference-station network. There is no base station to install on your farm.
Coverage checked for where you work. UK-wide and supported European service is subject to reference-station coverage and local mobile signal. Tell us your working areas so we can check them before activation.

Do I need to install a base station?
No. The tractor receives corrections from the reference-station network over NTRIP. There is no RTK base unit or antenna to install on the farm.
How much does it cost?
The licence is £400 + VAT per tractor per year. It includes the correction service, administration, network running costs and associated service fees.
Can one licence be shared between tractors?
No. Each licence is limited to one tractor. A second tractor requires a second licence. Farms with several RTK machines should compare this with the farm RTK base package.
Is a SIM card included?
No. Use an existing suitable data connection or add an optional RTK Solutions multi-network SIM for £90 + VAT per tractor per year.
Will it work anywhere in the UK and Europe?
The service provides UK-wide and supported European coverage. Coverage can still vary with the reference-station network and local mobile signal, so RTK Solutions checks the intended working area before activation and provides a trial.
Does “up to 10 mm” mean it is always accurate to 10 mm?
No. That is the best expected horizontal RTK performance under suitable conditions. Real performance depends on the tractor receiver, antenna, calibration, satellite view, correction age, local interference and field environment.
How long can repeatability be maintained?
Repeatability can be effectively indefinite when the correction service maintains a consistent reference frame that accounts for tectonic plate movement. It is not inherently limited to five years. For Base-Free RTK, we check the supplied network reference and receiver settings for your existing guidance. Long-term alignment also requires consistent datum settings, machine calibration and saved line data.
