Per tractor, per year. Limited to one concurrent tractor connection per licence.
Multi-network SIM per tractor, per year, for reliable NTRIP connectivity while working.
Use the RTK hardware already on the tractor, provided it is unlocked and NTRIP capable.
Built for a single RTK tractor - and work beyond one farm
This option is intended for farms and contractors that do not need their own local base station. It is particularly useful where only one tractor needs RTK, where the machine travels between farms, or where UK and European coverage matters more than a fixed local base.
Use one set of NTRIP credentials across supported UK coverage.
Supported European areas are available under the same service, subject to a coverage check.
Centimetre-level RTK performance depends on the receiver, antenna, sky view, calibration and local conditions.
Designed for returning to the same guidance lines over multiple seasons when datum, calibration and machine setup remain consistent.
The annual correction licence includes administration, network running costs and service fees.
Corrections are delivered over the internet to compatible agricultural RTK receivers.
How base-free RTK works
The base stations already exist within the partner network. Your tractor sends its approximate position to the NTRIP service and receives the appropriate RTCM correction stream over mobile data.
Check the tractor
Tell us the tractor, display and receiver models. We confirm the required RTK unlocks, NTRIP capability and likely compatibility.
Test coverage
We arrange a free trial so you can confirm RTK FIX, accuracy and repeatability on the actual machine and working area.
Activate the licence
We provide and support the NTRIP connection details. Add the optional multi-network SIM where a suitable data connection is not already fitted.
What you need
Required on the tractor
- An RTK-capable GNSS receiver and suitable antenna.
- The correct RTK and NTRIP unlocks or activations.
- A display, modem or gateway able to enter NTRIP host, port, mountpoint and login details.
- A clear view of the sky and a correctly calibrated steering system.
Internet connection
NTRIP corrections require mobile data while the tractor is working. You can use an existing suitable connection or add our multi-network agricultural SIM.
Base-free licence or your own farm base?
The cheaper option depends on how many machines need RTK and where they work. A single travelling tractor usually suits the base-free licence. Several RTK machines working mainly around one farm often suit the farm base package.
| Option | Best suited to | Pricing | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base-free RTK licence | One RTK tractor, contractors, travel across the UK or Europe | £400 + VAT per tractor/year | No base to install, but each tractor needs its own licence and mobile data. |
| RTK Solutions farm base | Several RTK-capable machines working mainly around one farm | farm RTK base packages | Requires a correctly installed base and antenna, but one farm subscription can cover multiple compatible machines. |
Compatible with major tractor RTK systems
The service is not locked to one tractor brand. It works with many systems that can receive standard NTRIP RTK corrections. Compatibility depends on the receiver, display, software version and unlocks fitted to the machine.
Test it before committing
A free trial is available to confirm that your tractor connects, reaches RTK FIX and performs correctly in the areas where you intend to work.
Base-free RTK questions
Do I need to install a base station?
No. The tractor receives corrections from the reference-station network over NTRIP. There is no RTK base unit or antenna to install on the farm.
How much does it cost?
The licence is £400 + VAT per tractor per year. It includes the correction service, administration, network running costs and associated service fees.
Can one licence be shared between tractors?
No. Each licence is limited to one tractor. A second tractor requires a second licence. Farms with several RTK machines should compare this with the farm RTK base package.
Is a SIM card included?
No. Use an existing suitable data connection or add an optional RTK Solutions multi-network SIM for £90 + VAT per tractor per year.
Will it work anywhere in the UK and Europe?
The service provides UK-wide and supported European coverage. Coverage can still vary with the reference-station network and local mobile signal, so RTK Solutions checks the intended working area before activation and provides a trial.
Does “up to 10 mm” mean it is always accurate to 10 mm?
No. That is the best expected horizontal RTK performance under suitable conditions. Real performance depends on the tractor receiver, antenna, calibration, satellite view, correction age, local interference and field environment.
What does 5-year repeatability mean?
It means the system is designed to let you return to the same stored guidance lines over multiple seasons. Reliable long-term repeatability requires consistent datum settings, receiver configuration, machine calibration and saved line data.
Who sets it up?
RTK Solutions confirms compatibility, supplies the NTRIP details, assists with setup and provides the ongoing customer support. Complex network issues are handled with our RTK data network partner.
Ask Sales to check your tractor and coverage
Send the tractor brand, receiver/display model, current unlocks and the UK or European areas where it will work.
Prices shown exclude VAT. Accuracy, RTK FIX availability and repeatability depend on compatible equipment, correct setup, satellite visibility, mobile data availability and local conditions. European coverage is confirmed for the intended working area before activation.
