Key points
- Delivery: NTRIP over internet/4G (RTCM3)
- Mountpoints: nearest-system + per-base redundancy
- Compatibility: suitable Ag Leader receiver, RTK activation and an available NTRIP connection method
- Subscription: one price for the whole farm (covers all equipment, not per tractor)
- Network access: access to all RTK Solutions bases via NTRIP
- Installation: PoE adapter included; the installed base needs suitable mains power, with battery and 4G backup built in
- Uptime target: 99.9%
- Guarantee: first-year satisfaction refund (return the base for a full refund)
Plug-and-play deployment
Install the base with suitable mains power and either Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The PoE adapter is included, while the internal battery and 4G connection provide backup. We then remotely configure the base and calibrate its position against the Ordnance Survey network.
- 1) Mount the antenna securely above the roofline, clear of obstructions
- 2) Connect the included PoE adapter to suitable mains power and provide Ethernet or Wi-Fi
- 3) We remotely configure the installed base and calibrate it against the Ordnance Survey network
- 4) Enter NTRIP details on the machine and work
Ag Leader compatibility: what we check
Ag Leader InCommand systems can use NTRIP when they are paired with suitable RTK-capable receiver hardware. Ag Leader documentation includes NTRIP setup routes for GPS 6500 and GPS 7500 receivers, but the receiver model alone does not confirm that every required option is active.
- The exact InCommand display and software version
- The fitted GPS receiver model and its RTK activation
- Whether NTRIP is handled in the display or by an external modem
- The correction format and mountpoint the receiver can accept
How the correction connection is set up
Once compatibility is confirmed, we provide the caster address, port, mountpoint, username and password. Depending on the Ag Leader installation, those details may be entered through the InCommand NTRIP setup or through a separate communications device.
Before changing from another correction source, we also check the datum and receiver settings so existing guidance work is not relied on until the new RTK fix has been verified in the field.
Farm base or Base-Free RTK?
A local farm base normally suits several compatible machines working around one farm. Base-Free RTK is usually the simpler choice for one compatible Ag Leader-equipped machine or work that moves between areas.
Ag Leader RTK questions
Does an InCommand display guarantee compatibility?
No. We also need the receiver model, RTK activation and NTRIP connection route. A photo of the GPS and correction settings is usually enough for an initial check.
Will you provide the NTRIP login details?
Yes. Compatible systems receive the server, port, mountpoint and login information needed for the selected RTK option.
