Key points
- Delivery: NTRIP over internet/4G (RTCM3)
- Mountpoints: nearest-system + per-base redundancy
- Compatibility: Raven receiver with RTK capability plus a supported NTRIP or Slingshot connection route
- Subscription: one price for the whole farm (covers all equipment, not per tractor)
- Network access: access to all RTK Solutions bases via NTRIP
- Installation: PoE adapter included; the installed base needs suitable mains power, with battery and 4G backup built in
- Uptime target: 99.9%
- Guarantee: first-year satisfaction refund (return the base for a full refund)
Plug-and-play deployment
Install the base with suitable mains power and either Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The PoE adapter is included, while the internal battery and 4G connection provide backup. We then remotely configure the base and calibrate its position against the Ordnance Survey network.
- 1) Mount the antenna securely above the roofline, clear of obstructions
- 2) Connect the included PoE adapter to suitable mains power and provide Ethernet or Wi-Fi
- 3) We remotely configure the installed base and calibrate it against the Ordnance Survey network
- 4) Enter NTRIP details on the machine and work
The Raven receiver matters more than the display name
Raven installations can combine a guidance display, steering controller, GNSS receiver and communications hardware in several ways. An RS1 combines receiver and steering functions, while a CR7 or similar display may be connected to separate positioning hardware. That is why a display photo by itself is not enough to confirm NTRIP RTK compatibility.
- Receiver model and current correction source
- RTK feature activation and installed software
- Whether corrections arrive through Slingshot or another NTRIP-capable modem
- Available mobile data, Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity
Moving a Raven setup onto our corrections
We first identify where the correction stream enters the Raven system. If the fitted hardware can accept a suitable RTCM stream over NTRIP, we provide the server details and confirm the mountpoint. If another modem, unlock or receiver is required, we explain that before quoting.
Useful photos to send
Send the display’s GPS status page, the receiver label and the current correction or modem screen. These normally reveal whether the machine is using satellite corrections, radio RTK, Slingshot RTK or an independent NTRIP connection.
Raven RTK questions
Can every Raven display use NTRIP directly?
No. Capability depends on the connected receiver, feature activations and communications hardware, not only the display model.
Do I have to replace a working Raven steering system?
Not necessarily. We check whether the existing positioning and communications equipment can accept the correction stream before recommending any hardware change.
