Valtra Guide offers several accuracy levels and receiver configurations. A tractor showing GPS guidance is not necessarily activated for centimetre-level RTK, so we confirm the receiver, correction setting and NTRIP connection before recommending a subscription.

Compatible Valtra Guide systems include fields for the NTRIP address, port, mountpoint and login. Whether those settings are available depends on the installed receiver and active correction options.

Plug-and-play deployment

Install the base with suitable mains power and either Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The PoE adapter is included, while the internal battery and 4G connection provide backup. We then remotely configure the base and calibrate its position against the Ordnance Survey network.

Valtra Guide can be upgraded through manufacturer activation on suitable hardware, but any such activation is separate from the RTK Solutions correction price.

Entering an RTK Solutions correction account

After the machine is confirmed compatible, we supply the NTRIP address, port, mountpoint, username and password. The Valtra Guide status screen is then checked for an active connection and RTK FIX before field accuracy is relied on.

Farm base or roaming correction?

A farm base works well for several compatible Valtra or mixed-fleet machines around one holding. A Base-Free licence can be a better match for one tractor or work spread over a wider supported area.

Saved field data remains in the Valtra system; the correction source supplies positioning data rather than managing the tractor’s jobs or implements.

Does SmartTouch mean RTK is already activated?
No. SmartTouch is the operating interface; the receiver and correction accuracy level still need to be checked.
